1. I know i want more room in my place or/and a different look. How do i get someone to help me with ideas and planning to get what I want? You have come to the right place for help. First you send me an email, text, or call me so we can get the process started. Then I'll decide whether you need a designer or estimator or both, and I'll send your information to the right person. They will contact you immediately and set an appointment. 2. What if i need design work and plans, can you help with that?
Yes. We work with the latest design software and will bring it to your place. After a short conversation and some measuring, you will see on the screen your addition or changes right in front of you! We will advise you of what the building code and neighborhood restrictions will allow as well as what is safe and reasonable for your family. 3. Then who gets the building permit, isn't that difficult?
Yes it is. The city needs very specific drawings and measurements including your plot plan (how your house sits on your property), set backs and side set backs, easements, etc. They also want to know what kind of foundation and steel, what kind of walls, how much insulation and where, where all the plugs and switches go, location of light fixtures, plumbing fixtures and size of sewer and water lines, etc. Only after they have all the information they need and have time to review it for building code compliance will they issue a permit. We do that process for you after you sign with us, as well as request all the various inspections that are required through out the project. 4. How long do these projects take and what can I live in the house while the work is going on?
Most addition projects take 4-5 weeks. (Obviously that varies according to what project it is.) We like it when you stay in the house; that makes you part of our team. (We make every effort to isolate the noise and dust so you life can be as normal as possible.) Your job is to watch your property just as you always do, take notice if a worker does something disrespectful and report to me, notice if we build something different then what you contracted for, stop us if something didn't work the way you planned and call a meeting so we can make changes, notice when we get inspections from our other team member, the city inspector.
